Requirements
New Electric is looking for someone who has experience in the following areas:
- Is able to read and understand electrical prints
- Troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
- Instillation of conduit and wire
- Troubleshoot diagnose and repair circuit boards and motor drives
- Able to design and build control panels
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Must have own hand tools
- Have good customer service skills
- Strong plus to have knowledge of PLC/Robotics
Base Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 / Hour

Summary of Electronic Repair Technician
- Repairing of industrial units ranging from power supplies, servo drives to PLC’s. The repairs are done within our fully equipped electronics lab, as well as in the field.
- Field Service/CNC/Presses/Troubleshoot
- The technician diagnoses, repairs, and thoroughly tests the units he/she is working on.
- The technician documents all necessary information for future use, and helps create specific and more efficient test procedures.
Requirements
Knowledge Base Required
- Experience with high power electronics
- Experience with AC VFD’s and DC drives and a thorough understanding of their operation
- Excellent understanding of SCR, IGBT and related semiconductor operation
- Excellent understanding of AC and DC motor operation
- Experience with component level repairs
- Be able to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Be able to troubleshoot with and without schematic diagrams
- Must work well as an individual, with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and customer service skills; fluent in English
- Well organized with good time management skills

- Ability to quote and perform sales meetings
- Scheduling of manpower
- Ability to Project Manage small and large projects
- Minimum 10 years experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Manager
- Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot both motors and controls
- Ability to mechanically troubleshoot machines
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all industrial equipment
- PLC troubleshooting skills and the ability to make minor PLC changes would be an asset
- Perform installations of conduit and wiring of typical electrical equipment
- Excellent understanding of ESA Code
- Solid technical communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must have success consulting with clients

Job Description
Perform the role as lead electrician/team leader for our growing Canton branch, by mentoring other electricians as well as working alone on a project, whether it be to run a simple circuit for a 20 amp 120 volt receptacle, install an 1800 amp primary service, transformer and switchgear, design, build and install a PLC based control panel or install high efficiency lighting.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, have some experience developing customer relationships and selling services and can hit the ground running.
Requirements
- Strong Communication skills/Professionalism
- Trade School (or equivalent)
- 3rd year Licensed Journeyman
- Machine troubleshooting ability
- Ability to design and install control panels, PLC based, write ladder logic programs
- Skilled at installing conduit and wire
